All family court records are stored and maintained at the Kapolei Judiciary Complex. Public access terminals at the Pearl City District Court and at Ka'ahumanu Hale in downtown Honolulu allow basic case lookups without traveling to Kapolei. How to Find Waipahu Family Court Records
eCourt Kokua is the easiest starting point. This free, 24-hour online tool lets you search First Circuit family court records by name, case number, or citation. You don't need an account and the basic case data is free. Results include party names, case type, and hearing dates.
Ho'ohiki covers family court civil cases from 1983 forward. If you know the approximate year a case was filed and the circuit, you can filter results to find the right case without having the full case number. This is particularly useful for older cases where paper records may be the only original source.
In person, the public access terminals at the Pearl City District Court let you check case status during regular court hours without a trip to Kapolei. Bring a photo ID. If you need printed copies or certified documents, you'll need to contact the Kapolei Legal Documents Branch.
Note: eCourt Kokua updates each evening. A filing made today may not appear online until the next business day.

Statewide document fees apply. Copies of 1 to 30 pages cost $3. Certified copies add $2. If you don't know the case number, a name search costs $5. Plan for at least 10 business days for mail requests. In-person requests at the counter take less time.
For basic case status questions, the public access terminals at the Pearl City courthouse are free to use during business hours. Bring the case number if you have it to make the lookup faster.
